Barbara has extensive accounting experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, commercial real estate, telecommunications and logistics.
Prior to joining Supporting Strategies, Barbara was Senior Associate/Credit and Collections at an international cargo shipping company. Through concise communication with customers, she minimized days sales outstanding and delinquent accounts, and clearly outlined payment expectations. She also collaborated with the Department Manager at a separate location to develop interdepartmental procedures that maximized cash flow.
Earlier in her career, Barbara was Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition/Commission for a commercial real estate broker. Her responsibilities included preparing research assignments and adjustment deals for the corporate finance and legal departments. She has also served as Financial Analyst/Credit Manager at a juvenile manufacturing and wholesale company and Accounts Payable Specialist for a major cable provider.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Science in business accounting from the University of Phoenix.
