Cheryl Bohnel, BS

Cheryl is a senior financial executive who excels in streamlining processes and helping organizations meet short- and long-term financial goals. Her core competencies include hands-on monthly close, budget creation and management, forecasting/planning, business process and procedure development, cash-flow reporting and balance sheet analysis/reporting.

Prior to joining Supporting Strategies, Cheryl was a part-time Assistant to the Treasurer, Office Administrator and Bookkeeper for a nonprofit religious organization. Within two months of accepting the position, she automated and digitized the bookkeeping system.

However, Cheryl has spent the bulk of her three-decade career in higher-level roles. As Financial Controller and Human Resources Manager for an automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer and distributor, her many efficiency-oriented accomplishments included developing advanced automated Excel spreadsheets to eliminate the manual process of updating/sending data to the parent company for financial-data consolidation. She also had an extended stay with a large pharmaceutical company, where she started as a Staff Accountant and worked her way up to Director of Accounting and MIS.

Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from State University of New York at Binghamton.
