Debi has been working in the accounting and finance field for over 20 years. She spent the first 5 years of her professional career in the public sector gaining experience in both audit and tax. She then moved to the healthcare industry where she worked for St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of the Caritas Christi Healthcare System. During her years with the healthcare system she progressively increased her financial roles. As the Manager of the A/P and Payroll department, she oversaw 10+ employees and gained extensive experience in payroll reporting and tax laws, HR and employee benefits and accounts payable, PO through the invoice, issuance of w-2’s and 1099’s. After becoming Controller of the affiliated Medical group, Debi became responsible for all details of the monthly close of the general ledger, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany Due To/From accounting, budget vs. actual discrepancy resolution and preparation of the month end financial reporting package. Eventually, as a Director of Finance Debi worked with company executives, including Executive Directors, the President, and the Board of Directors on corporate level financial analysis, future planning and special projects. Prior to joining Supporting Strategies, Debi managed her own small bookkeeping business. Managing client financial data through QuickBooks, she implemented office procedures and controls, assisted in small business forecasting, and filed quarterly and year end payroll tax returns. Debi is an active volunteer. Co-coordinator of her PTO, she manages the activities of a school store. Debi graduated from Emmanuel College with a BS in Accounting.
