Donna has 15 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. She began her career while still in high school when she worked as a bookkeeper for a small auto repair business in the town she grew up in; there she realized almost immediately that the accounting field was a perfect match for her. Upon graduating from college she worked as a staff accountant for a subsidiary of American Express. While there she gained great experience working for a large corporation in the areas of A/P, A/R and revenue recognition. Later, she owned and managed her own accounting and bookkeeping practice which served small businesses in the fields of higher education, technology and retail. This complimented her prior corporate accounting experience as her clients included sole proprietorships and subchapter s corporations. In addition to her chosen field, Donna is also passionate about personal finance education, something she believes is lacking in both public and private secondary schools. To serve her community in this very important area she teaches a course entitled ‘Foundations in Personal Finance’ to high school students at a private academy near her home. Donna holds a BS in Accounting from Rivier University.
