In a career spanning more than three decades, Gina has continually evolved with the times. She has added proficiency in a range of industry-specific software, including QuickBooks, IBM Notes (formerly Lotus Notes), Oracle, Kronos and Vista Plus, to a solid foundation in generally accepted accounting principles. That has given her the ability to convey financial information to clients clearly and concisely.
Before joining Supporting Strategies, Gina held accounting roles in the service and hospitality industries as well as with small businesses. Her responsibilities included month-end/year-end closing, preparing financial statements, account reconciliation, supporting the work of outside CPAs, managing cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and training new hires on systems, procedures and new technology.
Gina was responsible for all accounting procedures at an entertainment complex that included a comedy club, a restaurant, private dining and a nightclub. There, she used automated software to streamline inefficient payroll procedures and ticket-revenue tracking. She was also Staff Accountant at a country club, Controller for a hotel management company and Executive Assistant for the CEO of a group of nursing homes.
Gina has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron.
