She served as Controller of Carpenter Avionics from 2010 to 2018 and streamlined business operations for a six-figure decrease in expenses in her first two years. Concurrently, she owned and operated a successful practice advising entrepreneurs in launching their businesses.
A skilled teacher and communicator, Ilaine spent 10 years as a faculty member at the University of Phoenix where she taught a wide range of courses including Accounting for Decision-Making, Government and Non-Profit Accounting and Financial Management for the Small Business.Ilaine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Phoenix. She has shared her talents as a volunteer with organizations serving high school students and homeless people.
