Prior to Supporting Strategies, Joy improved department processes as Association Controller for a management and communications consulting company. She oversaw financials for five not-for-profit associations, prepared schedules and financial statements, provided guidance to accountants, reconciled balance sheets, managed journal entries and supported budget, audit and tax preparation.
As a freelance Accounting Consultant, Joy helped clients with cleanup and problem solving, implemented a complete accounting system from the ground up, oversaw full-charge bookkeeping duties, performed general ledger analysis and advised clients on processes and procedures. Her earlier roles include Staff Accountant for a supply chain solution service, Accountant for a bookkeeping firm serving production companies, Program Accountant/Billing Analyst for a leading aerospace and telecommunications corporation and Accounts Payable Associate for a global footwear company.
Joy holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting) from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Kennesaw State University.
