Karin brings more than 20 years of diversified experience to Supporting Strategies. She has worked with clients including small-business owners, Fortune 500 companies and not-for-profit entities, providing services from general ledger accounting to Six Sigma project management.
As a Senior Accountant at a professional services firm, Karin provided accounting expertise and services to a variety of clients. She specialized in preparing tax returns, which included resolving questions from the IRS, and performed tax planning. In addition, she provided QuickBooks setup and training, as well as accounting and financing instruction in the Small Business Administration's SCORE First Steps workshop.
Karin began her career as an Associate at a limited liability partnership, where she completed attestation and review engagements for demutualization of a large health insurance company. She later progressed through a series of roles, including Manager External (SEC) Reporting, Senior Financial Analyst, Third-Party Supplier Relationship Manager and Senior Process Manager, for a major financial services provider.
Karin graduated summa cum laude, valedictorian, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Richmond's E. Claiborne Robins School of Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
