Melinda is a former small-business owner and has an expansive background spanning accounting, finance, operations and project management. Over the course of her career, she has applied her expertise to advance the success of countless startup, service, manufacturing and construction operations.
Prior to joining Supporting Strategies, Melinda served as Chief Financial Officer for a company in the education management field. As a member of the leadership team, she was responsible for forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, yearly audit and investor communications along with monthly close and preparing financial statements and monthly board communications.
Melinda's previous experience includes serving as a Controller for several organizations, where she built a strong record of addressing operational deficiencies while maintaining strong teams and a collaborative environment. She has also had two stints as an Accountant and owned and operated a laundromat and commercial cleaning company.
Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration in Accounting/Business Management from Rockhurst College.
