Merelice has been in finance for twenty years in a variety of industries including banking, manufacturing, credit services, and Non-Profit. She began her career in banking as a system administrator responsible for portfolio conversions and program design. She then moved into a management role with responsibility for resolving delinquency and collection matters within a multi-million dollar portfolio.
With the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley, Merelice then moved into accounting as an analyst in charge of assuring SOx compliance for both leasing and credit line portfolios. Her role then shifted into Senior Accountant and then Accounting Team Leader. Following her tenure in the corporate world, Merelice moved into smaller businesses as a controller, managing all aspects of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
She holds a BS degree in Communications from Southern CT State University and is a certified paralegal. Merelice is also a Quickbooks Pro-Advisor and member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
