A versatile accounting and finance manager, Michelle brings over 30 years of progressive leadership experience to her role at Supporting Strategies. Her specialties include resource planning, project management, talent recruitment and collaborative team building.
As Accounting Manager and Project Manager for a financial services firm, Michelle oversaw accounting functions for small-business clients, identified operational inefficiencies and implemented improvements. Previously, she leveraged her customer service and marketing expertise to launch a business serving student athletes and parents.
Earlier in her career, Michelle served as Membership Coordinator for a private recreational facility, managing the budget, developing policies and supervising staff. As Director of Operations for a women's business conference, she fostered donor relationships and managed the budget to minimize expenses while providing maximum value to attendees. Her other roles include Accounting Manager and Controller for a bank and Senior Accountant for a Big 4 accounting firm.
Michelle holds a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Denver and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina.
