From time spent in public accounting to long-term senior positions in private and nonprofit accounting, Rebecca has gained an impressive range of experience spanning operational support, process improvement, team management and client services.
Beginning in 2002, Rebecca spent nine years as an Accounting Manager with the contracting firm Johnston McLamb. She redesigned the company's accounting ledger system; created new codes to capture departmental costs, cost pools and unallowable costs; and implemented a more effective software program for fixed-asset accounting.
After two years as a Senior Tax Accountant with a public accounting firm, Rebecca moved to the global health nonprofit organization Project HOPE in 2012. She was elevated to Senior Manager of Project Hope's Global Financial Operations in 2016, where she oversaw five team members and managed the financial elements of more than 100 projects.
Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Science (Accounting, Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems) and Master of Education (Instructional Design and Technology) from George Mason University. She is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and Certified Public Accountant.
