Sandy's over two decades of finance, accounting and administration experience make her a standout member of the Supporting Strategies team.
Most recently, Sandy was a Financial Consultant providing accounting and tax services to small businesses. She assisted clients with financial planning and development while also handling personal and business income tax preparation, review and compliance. For part of that time, she was also Accounting Manager of a large steel fabricator/erector, where she was responsible for job cost accounting, work-in-progress financial reporting and preparing and filing sales and use tax returns.
Earlier in her career, Sandy was Northern California Controller for a planner and builder of legacy communities. There, she provided accounting oversight to ensure application of sound accounting principles and practices and was responsible for budgeting and job cost accounting during the development and construction of single and multifamily homes. She has also served in roles such as Retirement Financial Officer for a county retirement association.
Sandy graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (concentration in Accounting) from Baker College. She is a Certified Financial Counselor, Registered Tax Preparer and a competent Spanish speaker
