With more than 20 years of experience serving both small businesses and financial services firms, Tara is a well-rounded professional with impeccable technical skills. She is proficient in QuickBooks (both Enterprise and Online versions), the Microsoft Office suite (including advanced Excel skills) and PAM for Investments.
Prior to joining Supporting Strategies in 2018, Tara was Controller at a family-owned custom concrete and construction business. In addition to managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general accounting, her responsibilities included managing vendor relationships for insurance, payroll, healthcare and subcontractors along with designing job-cost and cash-flow reporting that enabled the owners to gauge project progress.
Tara began her career as a Senior Accountant/Financial Services at a New York City accounting firm. She then spent two years as an Account Supervisor at a financial planning firm before rising to the level of Controller, first at M. Safra & Co. and later at SPNY Capital LP.
Tara has a Bachelor of Science from Yeshiva University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
