Bootcamp Series: Putting Small Businesses on Track for Growth

Bootcamp-Logo-1.pngCEOs and CXOs of growing businesses from coast to coast attended our Business Fundamentals Bootcamp Series this spring.

Participants enjoyed panels and breakout sessions on a wide range of topics: Finance and Administration, Strategy and Marketing, Legal and Risk Management, and Management and HR, all of which featured dynamic, insightful, inspiring speakers. In between sessions and over coffee, lunch and even cocktails, participants continued the conversations while expanding their networks and learning new skills.

On March 17, DC-area movers and shakers met at the Tower Club in Tysons, Virginia to explore Strategies for Success with presenters from organizations such as Searle Business Solutions, One Degree Capital, Arlington Law Group and Burdette Smith & Bish. Among the topics on the table: the quest for profitability, enhancing business value, and building high-performance teams.Los Angeles business leaders spent March 31 at the Skirball Cultural Center discussing Fundamentals of Growth with speakers from local businesses: the Myerson Agency, the Small Business Law Firm, Consult PR and Stark Engagement Consulting. Topics ranged from attracting talent and onboarding to legal pitfalls and intellectual property.

On May 19, CEOs and CXOs met up at USC to talk about Growth Strategies for the Scaling Company. With talent on hand from Wells Fargo, Vested and Black Diamond Leadership, breakout sessions covered the top nine mistakes made by startups and early-stage companies, boosting business value before you sell, emotional IQ and reasons people quit.

That same day, Chicago-area business leaders gathered to learn Strategies for Growing Your Business at Northern Illinois University-Naperville. Popular topics included turning your business into your retirement plan, time management and work/life balance, connecting with high-level clients and marketing strategy. The group came together for a lively panel discussion with representatives from First American Bank, Riviera Finance, BNC Venture Capital Group and Intercept.
