Ellen Sullivan is the former director of the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center. She is an entrepreneur who has crossed over the sectors of nursing, healthcare and nonprofits. As an RN, she began her career as a critical care nurse. She then gained broad corporate experience in healthcare quality and compliance working over 20 years at Florida Blue. She left her executive role to invest in the first Doctors Express Urgent Care clinic in Florida, providing access to quality, affordable healthcare. Successfully selling the business, she joined the search for missing children as CEO of The BairFind Foundation in its national expansion as an official charity partner of Minor League Baseball.
Active on several board, Ellen serves as Chair Elect for ATHENA International, an organization with a global reach in developing women leaders throughout the world from classroom to boardroom. She has been honored as Jacksonville Business Journal’s “Women of Influence”, a “Top 50 Business Influencer” by Advantage Business Magazine and JAX Chamber Health Council “Small Business Leader of the Year”. Ellen has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine and CNBC.com.
