Few accounting professionals can match the breadth or depth of Dana's experience. For over two decades, she has performed a variety of roles — ranging from full-time to part-time to contract — across different industries.
Before joining Supporting Strategies, Dana was a Contract Accountant. Her clients included a management services firm, industrial hygiene-products supplier, snack food company and medical products specialist. In addition to all standard bookkeeping and accounting functions, she was responsible for government census and economic reporting, annual SEC filings, setting up QuickBooks for a new company and providing vacation and medical leave coverage.
Dana began her career as a Human Resources Assistant at a hydraulics company. She later became an Accountant at a power company before holding a series of positions in the retail footwear industry, including Sales Audit Supervisor and Financial Analyst.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is experienced in a wide range of relevant software applications.
