As founder of her own company and a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Heather has a thorough understanding of the challenges that small businesses face in adapting to cloud-based accounting systems. She is equally capable working onsite or remotely, in either a consulting or hands-on role.
Heather's company had two distinct lines: a full-service bike shop and a virtual small-business accounting firm serving health professionals and service-based organizations. She specialized in converting QuickBooks Desktop users to QuickBooks Online to facilitate collaborative work and mobile accessibility.
Before that, Heather cofounded a company that offered small-business accounting for financial planners, churches, nonprofit foundations and more. She has also been a self-employed Accountant, Accounting Manager at a food distribution business and Associate Intern for a law firm, where she processed accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Heather graduated summa cum laude from Friends University with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both Business Administration and Accounting, and a Minor in Finance. She received the Presidential Scholar Award all four years and had a volleyball scholarship.
